PaperArtsy week: day 1

Hello,
This first week for our calendar challenge is focusing on PaperArtsy products. As I mentioned on Saturday, Isa's Art is not doing the challenge so you can still have "other" samples on this blog, but still has to use the products we (Sandy and I) challenged our DT to use ;).
Isabelle chose to use the  PaperArtsy Fresco Finish Crackle Glaze, which I am sure, many of you know already.
I must admit that I recently got those paints and medium and absolutely LOVE them.

She first cut hearts and butterflies shapes with the Sizzix dies.
She covered the cardboard heart with gesso, and then applied a first coat of acrylic paint (beige).
After drying, she applied the PaperArtsy crackle Glaze and dried again.
Finally, she applied the last coat of paint (brown), and the crackle appeared with she heat dried it.
It's very easy and very effective.

To finish the heart, she inked up the die-cuts with Walnut Stain Distress inks and attached them to the cardboard crackle heart with a brad.

Isabelle used:

SIZZIX ORIGINALS Butterflies & rings - Frame & sculpted - Hearts primitive 3

Thanks for popping by;)
