Simply Saturdays Vintaj with Jo

Hi,
Last post for this Vintaj week. We do hope you learnt more about those products and that you found lots of inspiration to create more.

Jo Firth Young is with us today for our Simply Saturday and she chose to use the Vintaj Patinas to create a verdigris finish on a metal covered peg.

Paint entire peg black.
Cut a piece of metal - enough to cover both sides of the peg.
Place piece of metal in the embossing folder, so the numbers are raised, and run through the die cutting machine.
Cut the piece of metal to size for each side of the peg and attach with redline tape.
Paint the metal with black paint and dry.
Use a piece of 'Cut'n'Dry' and Vintaj patina  to colour the black metal and dry.
Sand the surface of the metal to reveal the original silver surface.
Add black and/or Patina to build up layers of 'verdigris'.
(tip: Verdigris naturally occurs in sunken areas or in corners of designs or shaping)

Materials:
Vintaj Patinas: Verdigris
Fresco Finish Paint: Little Black Dress
Sizzix Textured Impression Embossing Folder: Sewing & Measuring Tape Set
(Big Shot used to emboss)
Cut'n'Dry foam
